My eight week old scans his eyes a lot…is this normal?
My eight week old son scans his eyes all over the room much more frequently than he focuses on any particular object (I would say 75% scanning, 25% focused). He does occasionally focus on things, like a toy, my face, etc…but then it’s off to the races again. Usually, when he’s focused, it’s for only a couple minutes or less. The movement can be slow or fast, but it’s pretty consistent – meaning he doesn’t stop to occassionally check something out. Is this normal?
Hes perfectly fine! My 11wk old daughter did the same thing. He will start to focus in on you a lot more very soon you wont believe it!
